Trip Overview

Gokyo is a lake located in the loop of Himalaya form from the flowing of snow in the altitude of (4700m- 5000m). This lake is also named as Dudh Pokhari, both Hindus and Buddhist believes as a holy lake. Overnight at Gokyo lake and early morning ascent up to Gokyo Ri (5360m) will make your day with splendid view Sunrise on the Himalayas likeMt Everest (8848m), Mt. Makalu (8485m), Mt. Lhotse (8383m), Mt. Cho Oyou (8201m) which are the Himalayas above 8000m.

You will start your trek Flying  Lukla or Bus through Charikot/ Jiri. Passing through old Sherpa settlement, beautiful monasteries, Rhododendron forests, Yak grazing pasture land, Colorful praying flags, breathe taking snowcapped Himalayas, rainbow creating water falls, diverse Flora and Fauna your first destination is Gokyo lake (4750m)passing other exciting camping destination. The beautiful and adventurous walk summit  Gokyo Ri (5357m) and reached to another best pass Chola Pass (5368m) and your final camping will be in GorakShep (5160m)as per the naming of trek. Early morning ascent up to Kalapathar (5545m) will make your tiresome walk more historic. This Kalapathar will be your best morning destination for 360 views with golden Sunrise Himalayas including Mt Everest (8848m), Mt. Makalu (8485m), Mt. Lhotse (8383m), and Mt. CHO Oyou (8201m). You will be standing exactly in front of Mt. Everest. The Best point of Mt. Everest.

Detail Itinerary

DAY 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu Airport and transfer to hotel.

DAY 02 : Half day sightseeing to Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath temple and Bouddhanath Stupa.

DAY 03 : Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2804m) -trek to Phakding (2623m)

DAY 04 : Phakding to Namche (3440m)

DAY 05 : Namche Bazaar to Khumjung (3753m)

DAY 06 : Khumjung to Dole (4200m)

DAY 07 : Dole to Machhermo (4450m)

DAY 08 : Machhermo to Gokyo Lake (4750m)

DAY 09 : Summit Gokyo Ri (5357m) and overnight at Cho La Pass Phedi (5350m)

DAY 10 : Phedi to Chola Pass (5368m) and trek to Dzongla (4620m)

DAY 11 : Dzongla to Lobuche (4930m)

DAY 12 : Lobuche to Everest Base Camp (5364m) overnight at Gorak Shep (5170m)

DAY 13 : Gorak Shep to visit Kalapatthar (5545m) and overnight at Lobuche (4930m)

DAY 14 : Lobuche to Pangboche (3990m)

DAY 15 : Pangboche to Kyangjuma.

DAY 16 : Kyangjuma to Phakding.

DAY 17 : Phakding to Lukla.

DAY 18 : Fly back Kathmandu.

DAY 19 : Full day sightseeing  to Pashupatinath Temple, Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

DAY 20 : Free day in Kathmandu.

DAY 21 : Departure from Kathmandu
