    Trip Overview

    Unspoiled routes, untouched cultures, pristine landscapes, fascinating and interesting charmed of Innocent Dolpolians and their dramatic lifestyles are main attraction of Dolpo Trek. Dolpo was forbidden for many years in the history. The settlement in the area gets similar cultures, traditions, customs and language as Tibetan so, we can say that they were shifted from Tibet since long ago. They are engaged with their traditional agriculture (potatoes, buckwheat, Millets, mustard, wheat etc.), yak herding, Himalayan goat and sheep herding as their main profession.
    Thrilling hardcore landscapes, soaring green high hills (5-6 hrs. stiff hills), authentic, old and history carrying Chortens and monasteries, soaring Himalayas, varieties of Flora and Fauna(Blue sheep, Jharal, Snow Leopard, Himalayan Fox etc.), varieties of Birds (Danfe, Munal and many colorful) are found and are best to admire your tiresome trek to Dolpo. During the trek you need to climb (4000- 4500m) high hills and after you reach to top of hills you gone a make a sound “WOW”. You will really love the view, air, smells and everything you see. The trek is restricted area for foreigner so need to have special Trek permit. Camping trek is only possible to the area because of little Accommodation, Accessibility facilities.

    Detail Itinerary

    Day 01 :  Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

    Day 02 :  Half day sightseeing to  Kathmandu durbar square, Swayambhunath Temple and Bouddhanath Stupa.

    Day 03 :  Fly to Nepalgunj and transfer to hotel.

    ENTRE RESTRICTED AREA OF LOWER DOLPO:

    Day 04 :  Fly to Juphal Airport (2,475m) and trek to Dunai (2,140m)

    Day 05 :  Dunai – Chhepka (2835m)

    Day 06 :  Chhepka – Polam (3395m)

    Day 07 :  Polam – Shey Phokusundo Lake  (3733m)

    ENTRE RESTRICTED AREA OF UPPER DOLPO:

    Day 08 :  Shey Phokusundo Lake: ( a acclimatization day, explore beautiful blue lake and visit old T-sova (Bonpo monastery)

    Day 09 :  Shey Phokusundo Lake – Lar-Tsa (4120m)

    Day 10 :  Lar-Tsa – Shey Gompa (monastery) ( 4160m)

    Day 11 :  Shey Gomba (monastery) – Shyamling Gompa (4115m)

    Day 12 :  Shyamling Gompa – after Neng-la Bhyanjang Pass (5368m), camp site at (4790m)

    Day 13 :  Neng-la Bhyanjang Pass (5368m), camp site – Saldang

    Day 14 :  Saldang – Dora Sumba (3850m)

    Day 15 :  Dora Sumba – Shimengaun (3870m)

    Day 16 :  Shimengaun – Tinjegaun (4150m)

    Day 17 :  Tinjegaun – Rapka (4530m)

    Day 18 :  Rapka – Sarchen Gompa Monastery camp (4360m)

    Day 19 :  Sarchen Gompa Monastery – Norbulung (4750m)

    Day 20 :  Norbulung – cross Tuche la sangda Bhanjyang (5185m) pass camp site in Sangda Phedi (4190m)

    Day 21 :  Sangda Phedi – Bhima Lojung monastery camp (4495m)

    Day 22 :  Bhima Lojung monastery – via Tiri tal gaun camp in Mustang Kagbeni (2800m)

    EXIT RESTRICTED AREA :

    Day 23 :  Kagbeni – Jomsom:

    Day 24 :  Fly from Jomsom – Pokhara

    Day 25 :  Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu or drive back to Kathmandu.

    Day 26 :  Visit  Kathmandu city.

    Day 27 :  Departure from Kathmandu.
