Trip Overview

Ghorepani/Poon hill trek is short trek with lifelong moments creating easy trek in Annapurna region of Nepal. Sunrise and the snowcapped Mountain View is the best panoramic view from Poonhill. The trek will lead you up to 3210m (Poonhill view tower) high climb passing, crossing and leaving massive green hills, fast flowing waterfall and rivers, dense Rhododendrons forest , Flora and Fauna Habitat and local Gurung settlement. The trek during spring (March to May) will be the best to experience the colorful (Red, pink and white) bloom of Rhododendron flower as the basement of smiling white snowcapped Himalayas. This trek is also the way to join Annapurna Base Camp Trek.

Detail Itinerary

DAY : 01 Arrival in Kathmandu Airport and transfer to hotel.

DAY : 02 Half day sightseeing to Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Temple and Bouddhanath Stupa.

DAY : 03 Drive from Kathmandu  to Naya Pul  and overnight at Birethanti (1025m)

DAY : 04 Birethanti to Ulleri (1960m) 4.30-5hour

DAY : 05 Ulleri to Ghorepani (2750m) 5-6 hour

DAY : 06 Early morning visit to  Poon-Hill (3193m) and trek to Tadapani (2590m) 6-7 hour

DAY : 07 Tadapani to Ghandruk (1940m.)

DAY : 08 Ghandruk to Jhinu Danda (Hot Water Spring)-1750m

DAY : 09 Jhinu Danda to Potana (1925m/6-7hrs)

DAY : 10 Trek to Phedi and drive back to Pokhara

DAY : 11 Full day sightseeing around Pokhara Lakeside

DAY : 12 Drive back to Kathmandu (7 hrs)

DAY : 13 Full day sightseeing to Pashupatinath Temple, Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

DAY : 14 Departure from Kathmandu
